All children can write for a range of purposes and take inspiration from the writing around them.

Writing outcomes are mapped using the Hertfordshire long term plans and set within the context of the half termly topics to provide inspiration, motivation and context for our young writers. We use rich, high - quality literature to model, inspire and develop the children’s writing. Units of work are planned so that a range of written outcomes are achieved and progression can be seen throughout the school. The children will understand and mirror the author process of planning, drafting and editing and will think about the audience and purpose of their writing.
