Clubs

At Cherry Tree Primary School, children can take part in many school clubs and extra-curricular opportunities. Below are clubs they can enjoy throughout the year, however, please visit our ‘Letters Sent Home’ section for current opportunities.

Archery

Super Star Sports run this new club at Cherry Tree.  Children in Years 3 to 6 can learn the skills of the bow and arrow in a fun way.

Football

Mr Blake, our Sports TA, runs our Football Clubs. Year 1 to 4 have a session every week learning the skills of the game.  Year 5 and 6 continue learning the skills and also play in friendly matches against other local schools.

Dodgeball

Mr Blake runs this before school club fast-paced club for Years 1-6.   Children must dodge or catch balls thrown by the opposition whilst attempting to strike their opponents in the same way.

Gym

PT Coaching run our very popular Gym Club. There are sessions before and after school and the children have a great time learning fun and challenging exercises.

Handball

Another club run by Mr Blake, our Sports TA.  Children in Years 1-3 work in teams passing the ball with their hands aiming to throw it into the goal of the other team. 

Hockey

This popular before school club is run by Mr Blake for children in Years 1-6. Children enjoy working in teams during this fast-paced action packed club.

Mad Science

Children from Years 2-6 can come along to this club, run by Mad Science. They have so much fun with their many experiments.

Magical Maths

Children in Years 1-6 can enjoy this club learning maths in a fun and magical way.

Netball/Basketball

This before school club is for children in Years 1-6 and Mr Blake teaches children the skills of both these team sports.

Street Dance

Apex Dance runs this energetic club. They run sessions for both Years 1-4 and they learn lots of new moves.

Table Tennis

This before school clubs is run by Mr Blake and children in Years 1-6 will learn the skills of table tennis.

Tag Rugby

This club is for children in Years 4-6, run by Mr Blake.  The children learn the skills of rugby but without the contact of the game for older children.
