If so, Cherry Tree School is looking for an exceptional Phase Leader to work closely with our leadership team leading Lower Key Stage 2 (in the first instance).

Your core responsibilities will be to:

  • establish good relationships, encourage good working practices and support and lead teachers in the key stage
  • lead, support, motivate and direct support staff working within the key stage
  • oversee all aspects of the key-stage organisation and management, to ensure that school policies and practices are being delivered
  • evaluate pupils' progress, achievement and attainment
  • lead by example in all areas of the curriculum
  • monitor the standards of behaviour and achievement within their year group and across the key stage
  • oversee the induction process of new members of staff within the key stage
  • attend SLT and other meetings as required

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Has the bravery to create and lead a truly visionary curriculum that teachers will enjoy and children will love
  • Has strong organisational and leadership skills in supporting, managing and motivating staff, pupils and families
  • Has a proven track record of driving standards and securing improvements for children
  • Has a strong understanding of how to analyse and interpret school performance data
