On Thursday 12th December, Year 2 will be going on a trip to visit the Great Fire of London Monument and Tower Bridge as this will enrich their learning experience for the second half of the Autumn term.

We will be climbing the monument so that we can have a panoramic view of London in addition to visiting Tower Bridge and learning about the mechanism that raises the bridge for ships to pass below.

The children will leave school at 9am and travel by coach. The children should be dressed in their school uniform with suitable shoes (trainers are acceptable on this occasion). They will need a warm and waterproof coat, hat, and gloves in case of bad weather. As all children in Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a universal free school meal, they will be provided with a packed lunch from our school kitchen. They will also need a water bottle and a bag that they can carry independently. We will return to school by 3.15pm.
