On Tuesday 30th April, Year 3 will be going on a trip to the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Watford. We will leave school at 12:45pm and travel by coach to the Gurdwara. We will be back at school by 3.15pm. Once there, the children will have a presentation, led by the Gurdwara staff, all about different aspects of Sikhism. They will also get to experience a range of the different elements of the Sikh faith, such as the 5 K’s and the Langar. This will all deepen our learning and understanding as our RE lessons over the Summer Term will all be focused on Sikhism. On the day, children should be dressed in their school uniform with suitable shoes. They will eat lunch as usual in school before boarding the coach. It is imperative that all children bring with them a head covering to wear whilst in the Gurdwara as this is requested by the Gurdwara before we will be allowed to enter. A suitable head covering would include a bandana, cloth, or scarf. Please note that caps are not considered a suitable head covering.
