Year 4 Trust PE Competition
This event will take place on 20/03/2024
At Cherry Tree School, we believe there are numerous benefits to taking part in sporting competitions. Children learn to aim high and to work as a team. We are delighted that children in Year 4 have been selected to join the Year 4 children at Beechfield School and Laurance Haines School for an afternoon of PE activities on Wednesday 20th March.
The intent of the trip is:
- To develop ability, balance and co-ordination skills
- To aim high, be brave and be kind when representing our school in a competition
- To learn to work as a team with other children
- To understand good sportsmanship means congratulating the winning team
Arrangements:
- We will change into PE kit before lunch, eat lunch at Cherry Tree School and then take a coach over to Laurance Haines School
- The competition will start at Laurance Haines School at 1:20pm
- We will divide the children into groups, and they will compete alongside children from Beechfield and Laurance Haines
- We will leave Laurance Haines School at 2:45pm and return to school in time for the end of the day
Children should come to school with a PE kit suitable for outdoor activities. If the weather is cold and wet, please ensure your child has a warm coat.
