Year 6 - Lincolnsfield Centre Trip
This event will take place on 27/03/2025
In Spring 2, we are studying how artwork and propaganda was used to effect change in Britain during World War II. To support our learning, we will be visiting the Lincolnsfield Centre in Bushey.
During our trip, the children will engage in many hands-on activities including experiencing the life of an evacuee during the war, finding out what life was like in 1940s Britain during an air raid and visiting a 1940s house to understand what home life was like.
We invite children to dress up for the day in 1940s style costumes if they wish to do so, but please do not feel obliged to buy anything specifically for this trip. As some of the activities will be held outdoors, please ensure that your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather with a warm, waterproof coat and sensible shoes.
The children should arrive and leave school at the normal time. We will be travelling by coach and plan to leave school promptly at 9am and will be returning to school at approximately 3pm.
