On Thursday 12 th December, Year 1 will be going on a trip to Windsor Castle.

We will leave school at 9am and travel by coach to Windsor. Once there, the children will take part in a guided walk to look around the castle precincts and examine the battlements, arrow loops and towers. They will find out how we know if the King is in residence and find out why Windsor was built on this site. They will also explore some of rooms inside of the castle. We will be back at school by 3.15pm.

On the day, children should be dressed in school uniform that is suitable for outdoor activities. This includes a warm waterproof coat and school shoes. As all children in Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a universal free school meal, they will be provided with a packed lunch from our school kitchen.
