We are delighted that children in Year 5 have been selected to join the Year 5 children at Beechfield School and Laurance Haines School for an afternoon of PE activities on Thursday 2nd February. The intent of the trip is:

• To develop ability, balance and co-ordination skills

• To aim high, be brave and be kind when representing our school in a competition

• To learn to work as a team with other children

• To understand good sportsmanship means congratulating the winning team

Arrangements:

• We will change into PE kit before lunch, eat lunch at Cherry Tree School and then walk over to Beechfield School

• The competition will start at Beechfield School at 1:15pm

• We will divide the children into groups, and they will compete alongside children from Beechfield and Laurance Haines

• There will be additional adults accompanying the classes to ensure we have the correct ratio of adults to children. •

We will leave Beechfield School at 2:45pm and return to school in time for the end of the day

Children should come to school with a PE kit suitable for outdoor activities. We already have a list of those parents who consent for their child to be taken off site on a school visit but if you DO NOT give consent, please email the school office by Friday 27th January.
